About Jane McCann

The brand’s inspiration comes from an experienced designer, most recently in the application of modern fibres in technical textiles primarily in the area of active sports, corporate and leisurewear, with particular reference to smart textiles. Jane grew up in Northern Ireland, initially trained at Belfast College of Art and then at the Royal College of Art, and now has more than 30 years experience in clothing design. She has travelled extensively for work and pleasure and has a good overview of the global fashion market and especially it’s failure to address the needs of the rapidly expanding older market.

Jane is a recognised innovator and educator in the application of technical textiles in functional clothing, primarily for functional clothing. Throughout her career as a designer Jane has been keen to reference her Irish routes in her creative work with her range development building on a network of academic and trade contacts fostered over more than a decade.
